Native Garden Observations



Spring is such a magical time.

All those dormant plants that you're never sure you'll ever see again suddenly wake up and rise.


Here is a borage plant that is starting to bloom.

Borage is a great nectar plant for the pollinators, producing nectar every two minutes.

That's so amazing!


I just wish it would reseed enough to create a little borage field.












As the natives awaken from their winter sleep, so are the pollinators.

Here is a hoverfly on one of the California poppies.
