An unusual sunset

This evening we were finally blessed with rain showers that lasted for about an hour.

As we sat at the dining table, enjoying the rare sound of soft raindrops (no rain since late Spring), I looked out the window and saw this sunset.

Normally we see the sun setting much further to the right of the horizon, just behind Mount Tamalpais.

This was taken a few minutes later from another angle.
