After the rain

After some several days of very welcome rainy weather, the flowers and foliage are refreshed.

One of the first blooming California poppies was dotted with raindrops.

The India Fire abutilon is laden with blossoms and buds.

This isn't a California native, but is a favorite of the hummingbirds, Brown-eyed bushtits and Chestnut-back chickadees.

The bushtits and chickadees seem to find a lot to eat around the blossoms.
