The house finches are back!

It definitely is Spring because the house finches are back.

This is the first one I saw, a male.

They have a distinctive song, that I first didn't recognize.

The house finches are flying in pairs, so they are probably building nests somewhere.

I just hope that our neighbors don't get too enthusiastic when pruning their trees and shrubs, and are checking for nests first.
