Yellow Faced Bumble Bee approaching Bee Plant

Oh, we have so many yellow-faced bumble bees Bombus vosnesenskii constantly visiting the garden, both around the California native patch and the patio.

They are so big and round and fuzzy, and seem quite good-natured, not aggressive.

I almost want to hug them.

Here is a yellow-faced bumble bee approaching the California bee plant Scrophularia californica that is growing in one of our patio plant beds.

The plant has lovely little red flowers that are rounded and hollow.
