Orchids abloom in the house

March 27, 2018

A few weeks ago I posted some photos of one of our indoor orchid plants.

It started to produce buds after a year.

It was a pleasant surprise because the previous spikes never dried out, so I couldn't prune them.

I also don't remember giving the orchid any food.

Both orchid plants just get a little water once a week.

Now look what beautiful blossoms the plant is producing.

Both orchid plants get a lot of light from the nearby window, but no direct sun.

And here is the photo of the buds before they opened.

And on another shelf close by, is another phalaenopsis plant.

Whenever we sit at the dining table for a meal I enjoy looking up at our little orchid garden.
