A gift of rosebushes from our neighbor

Our neighbors have noticed what an avid gardener I am.

And they have seen the results of our hard work for the past year.

A couple of weekends ago, our next door neighbors asked me if the owner of the house would allow me to plant a few rosebushes. Because my experience with the rose bushes at our previous home was good - once established they basically needed no water in the summer, and still thrived - I figured it would be okay.

In no time, the neighbors carried over four potted rose bushes. They felt they didn't have the right kind of sunny spot for the roses.

Two of the bushes we planted in sunny spots in the front yard.

They will look lovely once they start blooming.

The other two roses will be transplanted to larger pots on the patio.

Above is a photo of one of the transplanted rose bushes.

Here is the same rose bush in a pot before it was transplanted into the yard.

It is about 20 inches tall.
