California Delta Sunflowers blooming

I bought three California Delta Sunflower Helianthus annuus seedlings in October thinking they would be dormant until the summer months. They were each about 3 inches high when I transplanted them to the front yard.

Well...two of the plants are now at least 45 inches tall, with blossoms.

So we'll see how they will be in the summer months, if they will be as tall and lush and the one we planted last summer.
