Tidy Tips are already blooming

The Tidy Tips Layia Platyglossa seedlings that I planted several weeks ago are growing fast and already blooming!

I decided to be pro-active and plant these in the fall instead of waiting until the spring, so that the plants would be better established with the winter rains, and grow larger in the springtime.

The normal blooming period for these plants is from March through June.

Hopefully we'll still see a lot of blooms on these plants next Spring.
