rain = water = life


If you've been following this blog, you know that I am fascinated by raindrops.

Like snowflakes, I don't think any two are the same.

This raindrop was floating on a Lavender Feathers poppy leaf.

It was rather large, and remained in that one spot.

Look how the California poppies have grown!

This will be such a bright patch of orange in the front yard!

It's been about twenty years since I grew poppies from seed so this is a big deal for me.

And here is a Zauschneria fuschia "Schefferin's Choice" seedling that I transplanted a week ago.

It is low growing, only up to about six inches in height, but about three feet wide. It produces bright red orange tubular flowers that attracts hummingbirds.
