Bath time for a female house finch

The past weekend was hot, in the 90's, typical for the Bay Area in September.
This means the birds visit the bird bath more frequently, and not just to drink the water.
I observed the female house finch here as she first came to the bath to drink water.
Then...

Splash!
She was in the bath, flapping her wings and shaking her tail feathers.

She hopped in and out several times, diving in the water each time.
Aaaah...
Doesn't she look like she is in a bath at a spa...

Time to come out and dry those feathers.
