What luck to get this shot of the oak titmouse through our kitchen window!
These birds are small, yet have very bold, elaborate calls and songs.
It is always such a surprise to hear their strong, clear and multi-layered songs in the trees and shrubs around the garden, and then suddenly spot them, little gray birds.
The oak titmice are very elusive birds, so I have very few images of them.
This one suddenly flew into our backyard, hopping around the shrubs.
Fortunately I had my camera nearby on the kitchen table.
The bird stood just for a second or two on the moon sculpture, and then flew away.
