Fig season ending

Alas, the fig season is ending.

And what a season it has been!

The Mission fig tree was very productive, more than in the previous few years, and we have been enjoying the fruit of its labor.

There are still some figs on the tree, but most of them are very soft, which the birds are enjoying. And so we leave the soft, deliciously sweet fruit for our feathered friends.
