White crowned sparrow enjoying the long awaited November rain

Usually when it rains most birds take shelter in trees and bushes.

But I'm sure our native birds in California have missed the rain and the gifts it brings, for example water drops on leaves and in flowers, and soaking the soil enough to wash out bugs and worms to be eaten.

Yesterday I observed this White crowned sparrow sitting on the cape honeysuckle enjoying the refreshing rain.
