Bringing back the natives garden tours!

Kathy Kramer organizes native plant garden tours and workshops in the East Bay in the spring and fall of every year. I attended some of them and learned SO much about gardening with native plants that will attract our local pollinators such as bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, etc.

I highly recommend you attend some of these if you possibly can!

There are some events coming up where you can learn how to collect your rainwater, garden for native bees, raise chickens, collect seeds.

A sample of upcoming events:

Sunday September 28, Berkeley - Free native plant garden talk

Saturday October 4, Oakland - gardening for native bees

Sunday October 5, Lafayette - learn to cut your water bill in half, by designing a water-conserving, pesticide-free garden

Sunday October 19 - Native plant extravaganza

You will need to pre-register for some of the events.
